Our Knox Community Hospital ENT team evaluates patients with many types of thyroid issues. An evaluation usually consists of a thorough exam, blood tests, and thyroid imaging. Other tests, such as thyroid scans or fine needle aspirations, might also be suggested. Voice changes can be very frustrating and a sign of an abnormality of the vocal folds. Our physicians can address your voice concerns using advanced tools. One of them is a state of the art videostroboscopy, an imaging technique that allows your doctor to monitor your vocal cords' vibratory characteristics and structure. Our speech department can work with our patients to provide excellent voice therapy. 

Difficulty swallowing, or dysphagia, is a condition that can affect patients at any age. This can be very distressing for our patients. Our team can evaluate mouth, throat, and upper esophageal causes for difficulty swallowing and help provide treatment for these swallowing disorders. 

Chronic cough, snoring, and sleep apnea are among the most common reasons patients visit our Knox Community Hospital  ENT team. Our physicians can help identify upper airway issues to aid in the treatment of these common issues with both surgical and medical management.
