Casey Babbitt, MD, joined the Department of Specialty Care – General Surgery team at Knox Community Hospital in 2021. She completed her residency at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, and fulfilled the requirements for certification in Robotic Surgical Training in both Endoscopic and Laparoscopic surgeries. While earning her doctorate from the Boonshoft School of Medicine at Wright State University, Dr. Babbitt served on mission trips in Ohio and Peru. Utilizing her language skills in conversational Spanish, she helped bring medical care to underserved communities and indigenous tribes along the Amazon River. Dr. Babbitt received her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry with a minor in Molecular Biology from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. She participated in the Global Health Initiative and is an American College of Surgeons member. Specializing in Robotic and Laparoscopic Surgery, Colon and Rectal Surgery, and Hernia and Abdominal Surgery, Dr. Babbitt is committed to the care of her patients. Dr. Babbitt also specializes in Heartburn (GERD) treatments at the Heartburn Treatment Center at Knox Community Hospital. Born and raised in Ohio, Dr. Babbitt has made Knox County her home.
