Oral Antivirals for COVID-19 Treatment

oral antiviral covid medication
Knox Community Hospital is a dispensing location for the oral COVID-19 antivirals, PaxlovidTM, and Molnupiravir.

These are investigational treatments for mild to moderate COVID-19.

These medications should be taken twice per day for five days.  Like other prescription medications you take at home, this will require a prescription from your prescriber.  You can pick up your medication from the KCH Outpatient Pharmacy, Monday thru Friday, from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm.  You can find the KCH Outpatient Pharmacy on the 3rd floor of the main hospital building.

There are essential factors to consider with each medication, including your age, pregnancy plans, interactions with current medication, etc.; please discuss any of these with your prescriber before determining if these treatments are right for you.  These treatments work best if started early and should not be started if symptoms began more than five days ago.
