What is Optometry or an Optometrist?

We're excited to have Philip Holzer, OD as a member of the Department of Specialty Care, Opthalmology. Dr. Holzer, an Optometrist can provide eye exams, vision testing, corrective lenses as well as identify and treat eye conditions like glaucoma.

Optometrists are a vital member of any Ophthalmology team because they also play a major roll in the detection of our patients' overall health and wellness by detecting additional conditions like diabetes and hypertension.
