An occupational therapist (OT) and certified assistant (COTA) can provide an assessment of your condition, interventional support, and assist in setting goals for your recovery.

They are also able to instruct you on activities and exercises to improve your ability to bathe, dress, groom, perform self-care and manage your home.

Additional support includes:

  • education and assistance in the use of assistive devices and adaptive equipment such as reachers, sock aids, bedside commodes, and shower chairs to help meet your goals
  • promotion of increased independence and safety with daily living activities
