At New Vision, we offer something unique: a safe way to withdraw while being treated with respect and dignity.
We are here to help those struggling with addiction.
I want to tell you a little about our service.

Hello, my name is Chris Drake, and I am the administrator for the New Vision service at Knox Community Hospital. New Vision is a medical stabilization service for adults 18 and over to withdraw from substances in a medical setting safely. We can safely withdraw you from opiates, benzodiazepines, stimulants, and alcohol. Your typical stay will be three to five days, with 24/7 nursing staff and doctor care available.

"I knew it was different here from the start because I was treated with dignity, and it had been a long time since that had happened. The withdrawal was the most comfortable that I have ever been through, and I have been through several. I have not used any substances since that day. That was 11 years ago!" - Chris Drake

There is a way through this. Call 740.399.3893 today.
The decision to refocus on how to get the next high, when they run out, and how long they will be sick takes over.

Many struggling with substance use suffer thoughts of suicide and have a desire to numb those feelings. Most patients try several detox options in varied settings. Some find themselves in mental health institutions or incarcerated; with all of this, they cannot escape addiction.

Stop the Stigma
Stigma's impact on substance use disorder
Substance use disorders (SUDs) affect people, families, and communities in several ways.

While SUDs create impairment or distress that can cause an individual to struggle at work, school, or home, this does not look the same for everyone. For many, SUDs are hidden struggles. For some, it can be a part of their daily lives, and they maintain personal and job commitments through it. For others, it may lead to loss of relationships, loss of employment, loss of housing, loss of parental rights, criminal convictions, or loss of life.

Knowing that each person has their own life history and feelings about their experiences is essential. Each faces unique barriers to recovery and deserves compassion, support, and access to recovery and treatment services.
