The Congressional Award is the United States Congress’ award for young Americans.  It is non-partisan, voluntary and non-competitive.  Participants earn Bronze, Silver and Gold Medals.  Each level involves setting goals in four program areas:  Voluntary Public Service, Personal Development, Physical Fitness and Expedition/Exploration.

Please see http://congressionalaward.org/program/ for more information.

Bailey will be receiving her Gold Medal at the annual Gold Medal Ceremony in Washington, D.C. from June 19 -21, 2019.  Bailey’s volunteer hours that went towards this award were 2017 – 111.75 hours and 2018 – 51 hours.

I would like to again congratulate Ms. Bailey for her hard work and determination!  We are so proud of you!
