Scholarship Awarded by Future Nurses Club

The Wilbur Gaunder Nursing Scholarship of $1,000 has been awarded by the Future Nurses Club of Knox Community Hospital to Miranda Pruitt, a Senior at Mount Vernon High School. 

Miranda has been accepted at Ashland University and intends to pursue a career in healthcare.  She participated in the Future Nurses Club for one year.

Over 25 nurses volunteer their time and talent to provide educational and fun activities to encourage high school students to consider a career in nursing.  Founded in 2006, the Future Nurses Club offers information on the nursing profession to high school students, their parents and guidance counselors.  If you are a high school student, considering a career in nursing, learn more about it by calling Luann Hess, at 740 393 9606.
