An Enhanced Security Presence at KCH

Many changes have been made recently to improve security on the KCH campus.

Knox Community Hospital Security Guards are available 24/7 for the security of our patients, visitors and employees. All KCH are guards are registered as a Security Officer with the State of Ohio. The guards have new uniforms and have participated in detailed training in Advanced Monadnock Expandable Baton, Defensive Tactics, and OC Individual Chemical Aerosol with Contamination through Boerger Investigative Services, LLC.
The training consisted of 10 skill areas:

  • Defensive Posture
  • Subject Approach
  • Strikes
  • Takedowns
  • Handcuffing
  • Ground Defense
  • Escapes from Body Locks/Holds Releases
  • Weapon Encounter Defenses
  • Environmental Weapons
  • Ethical Decision Making and Critical Thinking in a Practical Application Scenario

We want our facility to be a safe, friendly and controlled environment for anyone visiting our campus.
