Committed to Safety

As Knox County re-opens, we want you to know that our commitment is to the safety of the community. Over the past two months, we’ve implemented a number of new safety protocols and procedures including telemedicine visits, visitor restrictions, and screenings stations for staff and patients at all entrances, to ensure that our patients, workforce, and community are safe and protected.

Despite the continued caution surrounding the pandemic, it is vital that patients continue to seek medical attention for their healthcare needs, especially those with chronic or pre-existing conditions.  KCH facilities are a safe place to receive care and treatment, and our providers and clinicians are eager to work with you to provide the best possible care for your needs in the safest environment.

Provider clinics are contacting those that can safely undergo surgeries and procedures as allowed under state guidelines, and we remain committed to caring for the health and wellbeing of our community.

All efforts are focused on ensuring that risk to our patients and staff, visitors, family, and friends remain as low as possible going forward.

  • In order to reduce the risk of spreading the virus in KCH facilities, visitor restrictions, masking requirements, and screening stations will remain in place at this time. This will allow KCH to appropriate monitor and respond to any increase in case numbers in the weeks ahead.
  • All provider clinics, the emergency department, and Urgent Care are open and seeing patients with responsible safety protocols in place. In some cases, a telemedicine appointment may be recommended.
  • For emergency care that entails a life-threatening situation please call 911 or go to the Emergency Department.

We are so grateful for the support and the outreach of kindness from the community during this time and continue to be committed to you and your families care. If you have questions or concerns, please contact your provider regarding appointments, procedures, or your personal care.
