RN Patient Safety Officer - Quality and Performance Improvement, FT

This position supports the organization’s mission to ensure safe patient care.  Assists the organization to achieve the goal of a “culture of safety” through individual and organizational behavior that continuously seeks to minimize patient harm.  Manages the safety reporting/incident system by triaging high-severity reports, ensuring timely assessment and follow up, and performing analysis that support departmental review and performance improvement. Assists in monitoring, reporting, and implementing regulatory standards and requirements for patient safety.  Participates in projects that aim to identify and mitigate patient safety risks. 

Requirements Include: 
  • Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio. Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 3 years’ experience in a hospital and/or clinic setting.
  • Certifications (preferred): Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) and/or Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ). Required in 2 years.
