Physical Therapist - Rehab & Wellness, FT

Knox Community Hospital identifies Physical Therapists as independent practitioners in the Medical By-Laws.  The credentialing process is required.  The Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating patients, interpreting the findings, developing an appropriate plan of care, and delivering quality care to help patients attain maximum functional level.  Care will be provided to patients of all ages from neonate, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult to geriatric.  The therapist needs to demonstrate knowledge in caring for orthopedic and neurological involved patients. The Physical Therapist is responsible for supervising Physical Therapist Assistants and students.  The Physical Therapist is responsible for delivering courteous and respectful customer service.   Effectively communicates with all customers. Responsible for demonstrating effective collaboration between intra/inter departments.  Responsible for completing in a timely manner all assigned tasks and duties utilizing multi-tasking skills. Responsible for assuring confidentiality of patient information and departmental information. Responsible for being knowledgeable of standard of practice for the practice of Physical Therapy in an outpatient and inpatient setting and regulations established by the payers.  

This position is 80% in patient and 20% outpatient.

Requirements Include: 
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in Science in Allied Health Professions in Physical Therapy from an accredited program required
  • Current license in Physical Therapist in the State of Ohio required
  • Current CPR certificate required
