Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant COTA - Home Health, PRN


The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) is responsible to the registered occupational therapist that is responsible for the implementation of standards of care for occupational therapy.  The COTA performs only those services planned, delegated, and supervised by registered occupational therapist.  They must effectively communicate with all customers. Responsible for demonstrating effective collaboration between intra/ inter departments. Responsible for completing in a timely manner all assigned tasks and duties utilizing multi-tasking skills. Responsible for assuring confidentiality of patient information and departmental information.



  • Knowledge and demonstration of patient standards of care.
  • Demonstration of effective problem solving, decision-making, interpersonal, and team work skills.
  • Demonstration of effective verbal and written communication.
  • Demonstration of positive customer service.
Requirements Include: 
  • Graduate of an occupational therapy assistant curriculum accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
  • Certified with the National Certification Examination of the American Occupational Therapy Association.
  • Licensed by the state board of Occupational Therapy in accordance with state licensure laws.
  • Minimum of one year of clinical experience as a certified occupational therapist assistant preferred.
  • Current CPR certification required
  • Valid Ohio driver’s license and maintain motor vehicle insurance.
