Specialty Pharmacy Achieves Accreditation With ACHC
Knox Community Hospital proudly announces it has achieved another accreditation through the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC).

Accreditation is a process through which healthcare organizations demonstrate compliance with national standards. Accreditation by ACHC reflects an organization’s dedication and commitment to meeting standards that facilitate higher performance and patient care.

The KCH Specialty Pharmacy customarily acquired the second of two separate accreditations. Each accreditation strengthens the service and quality of care the KCH Specialty Pharmacy offers. The URAC focuses on standards and procedures that ensure timely and accurate filling processes. The ACHC (Accreditation Commission for Health Care) focuses on patient care outcomes and fiscal responsibility. Many requirements of these accreditations overlap to promote the highest level of patient care for the community.

ACHC is a nonprofit organization that has been a symbol of quality and excellence since 1986. It is ISO 9001:2015 certified and has CMS deeming authority for Home Health, Hospice, and DMEPOS.

“The Pharmacy Team is excited to bring Specialty Pharmacy Services to their community and plan to exceed all expectations,” says Director of Pharmacy Services, Robbi Jo Mitchell-Enderle.
