Knox Community Hospital recognizes the Center for Wound Healing, a recipient of the Center of Distinction award and the Robert A. Warriner, III, Clinical Excellence award by Healogics®, the nation’s largest provider of advanced wound care services.

The Center achieved outstanding clinical outcomes for twelve consecutive months, including a patient satisfaction rate of more than 92 percent.

“Being the only wound care center in the county means we serve a critical role,” stated Vicki Kildoo, Director of the Center for Wound Healing at KCH. “The quality care we provide to patients benefits the entire community; when wounds are healed, our patients can resume their daily activities and enjoy productive lives again.”

The Center provides all the latest techniques and technologies, including hyperbaric oxygen chambers to treat hard-to-heal wounds. This expert team cares for people whose open sores have resisted traditional treatment. The Center for Wound Healing is a member of the Healogics network of over 600 Wound Care Centers and offers highly specialized wound care to patients suffering from diabetic foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, infections, and other chronic wounds that have not healed in a reasonable amount of time.
